<p>In this study, we formulate and investigate a multi-objective control problem aimed at eradicating fanatical insurgent armed groups, narcoterrorists and banditry in the Sahel. The aim is to identify different control scenarios and integrate them into a model of the combined dynamics of a fanatical insurgency and narcoterrorism. We analyze the effectiveness of these control strategies using an optimality study based on Pontryagin’s maximum principle. Then, we perform numerical simulations to assess the impact of these control measures on the evolution of the combined dynamics. This research has the potential to contribute to the fight against violent extremism and to promote stability in the Sahel states. </p>Mathieu Romaric POODAYacouba SIMPOREOumar TRAORE
